CoPA

The Commercial Pattern Archive (CoPA) is a vast collection of 30,000 patterns from the 1860's through 2000 and 90% is scanned. Each pattern shows the envelope with the layout and may be copied or printed.
This is a boon for people who wish to drape the piece and need to get a grip on the general dimensions of the garment parts and amount of fabric needed for the envelop designs. Also fabulous for CAD people who can scan and trace!!
Every pattern envelop comes with its layout, greatly helping the draping process because you can see the shape of the pieces you need and also the amount of fabric required. Not only that but you can construct the pattern pieces in your CAD software if you can see their shapes. The photos on the CoPA are much more clear.
Subscribers to the CoPA site have full access to the site and the images of the pattern and layouts; however, is restricted to personal use. This Helper File provides instructions on using the site and commercial limitations.
We are limited to 150 seats total. Access is or 3 months from January 1 through March 3, 2010, regardless of when you purchased your access. (All seats have been sold at this time. More to come soon.)
