Shoben Fashion Media is an innovative British pattern design company directed by Jenny and Martin Shoben, one of the world’s leading pattern cutters. Founded in London fifteen years ago and based upon a career in fashion industry and education, Shoben Fashion Media is well known brand in the design world.  SFM products are used by UK’s leading colleges such as Central St Martin’s and clothing companies such as ASOS.

All SFM products are designed for the fashion industry by Martin Shoben and all have been extensively tested by teachers, designers and students for their effectiveness in developing pattern technology. A key feature is that all books, patterns, tools and DVDs are designed to be industrially valuable as well as educationally informative.  A leading fashion educator, Dr.Martin Shoben holds an MA and a Ph/D. in Education and is also a Charter Member of the world famous Textile Institute, a technical fashion consultant for the United Nations and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).

After teaching at the University of the Arts, London, for twenty years, Mr. Shoben founded his own college, The London Centre for Fashion Studies, offering highly focused fashion diplomas and degree courses. Mr. Shoben has also established a branch of the LCFS in Hanoi, Vietnam which, after six years, is proving a great success.
 After attracting students from the US and around the world for nineteen years LCFS was taken over by a leading British university, leaving Mr. Shoben the time and space to concentrate on writing text books, designing instruments and patterns for the industry which he exports to the US and Europe.

Due to the demand for Shoben products in North America, Shoben Fashion Media appointed the Center for Pattern Design as the sole distributor for the US and Canada.  We are very pleased to be able to bring Shoben products to our pattern designers and look forward to a great partnership.
