When used for draping a toile or 'muslin' design on the form, it creates a gridded guide for draping so that you can see exactly what the grain is doing at any given place on the design enabling you to acchieve good balance, fit and special design effects.  Our gingham is 1/4" checks which is excellent for application to half scale draping.  45" wide and sold in 1 yard increments.
