This DVD / Video is an introduction to pattern cutting.  It will give the beginner an understanding of basic block making and the manipulation of the block to create draft patterns. In this Course Mr. Clark show how to construct a ladies shirt and blouse and the finished patterns are made in muslin and presented on the dress form.

Part One shows the making of a basic block from the tailor's dress form and how to correct any imbalance that may occur.

Part Two shows the construction of a ladies shirt pattern with a two-piece collar, a shirt type sleeve, buttoned cuff with placket and a demonstration on how to sew the cuff and placket.

Part Three shows the use of suppression seams (for waist) when creating a fitted blouse with a frilled V-shaped neckline.

Don Clark, who has over thirty-five years of experience in the industry, has taught this subject for many years and his methods are easy to understand.  Throughout this DVD/Video he gives numerous demonstrations, always with the Level 1 student in mind.
